Timothy M Pawlik, MD, MPH

Associate Professor of Surgery, Department of Surgery, Johns Hopkins University
Dr Pawlik has clinical interests in alimentary tract surgery, with a special interest in hepatic and pancreatobiliary diseases. Additionally, he has an interest in medical ethics and completed a fellowship in medical ethics at the Harvard School of Public Health and a Masters in Theology from Harvard Divinity School in Boston.

Dr Pawlik has given over 200 invited talks both nationally and internationally in 20 countries and has published over 250 articles and 30 book chapters, in addition to editing two surgical textbooks. He sits on multiple editorial boards and is an Associate Section Editor for Annals of Surgical Oncology and the Journal of Surgical Research, and is Editor-in-Chief of the World Journal of Gastroenterology.

He has served on the executive council of several of the premier surgical associations in the US and is a member of a number of professional societies including the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, the American Surgical Association, the Society of Clinical Surgery, and is President Elect of the Association for Academic Surgery.
